Vietnam targets $18 billion in export revenue of wood and wood products in 2025, the Government News has reported.

The wood industry enjoyed a spectacular export performance last year following a sharp 15.9% decline during 2023, according to Mr. Ngo Sy Hoai, Vice-Chairman  and Secretary General  of the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIFOREST).

Vietnam’s forestry export revenue in 2024 was estimated at $17.3 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 19.4%.

“Vietnamese wood products have solidified their position in several key markets, earning customer trust,” he said. “Major markets like the US, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the European Union have all recovered, thereby boosting purchasing power.”
